The Episcopal tradition of praying the Daily Office is based on the ancient monastic tradition of praying at set times of the day.  In The Episcopal Church, we are encouraged to pause for Morning, Noonday, and Evening Prayer.  Each “Office” consists of scripture readings, psalms, prayers, and ancient poems or songs of the church.
